MacDOWELLRUGBY is excited to partner with the Cowichan Valley School District to bring the MacDOWELLRUGBY Academy Island Program to Cowichan Secondary School starting in the 2024/25 school year. With a proven track record of helping foster excellence in students, MacDOWELLRUGBY's Island Program at Cowichan Secondary School will not only focus on building the skills for a successful career in Rugby and strong academics, but will also foster community leadership in all students. The program is open to students of all abilities and levels in grades 8-12. In addition to regular classes, students will also take classes on the principles of sport, athletic leadership, and rugby.
PLEASE NOTE: Homestay costs and school application fees will be charged separately by the Cowichan Valley School District and must be paid before applications are processed. School tuition, homestay, and other fees are due upon receipt of letter of acceptance.
PAYMENT POLICY: Applications will be processed when the application fee and homestay placement and application fee are paid. Half of remaining fees are due upon receipt of letter of acceptance. Second half of remaining fees due October 31, 2024. Homestay fees are paid to the school district and remitted to the host family on a monthly schedule.
REFUND POLICY: Withdrawal within 60 days of acceptance into the program results in a 75% refund. Withdrawal by September 30, 2024 results in a 50% refund. No refund for withdrawal after September 30, 2024. No refund if student is in violation of the International Student Program Code of Conduct. Full refund of tuition, medical and homestay fees if visiting student authorization is not approved by Canadian Immigration. Supporting documents of a rejection must be supplied.
